UnitingWorld is a non profit organisation that connects communities in Australia, the Pacific, Asia and Africa to partner in overcoming poverty.

We have been working with UnitingWorld since 2016 to tell powerful stories, through the creation of visual materials including campaign videos and still images.

We All Deserve To Be Treated Equally

In late 2018 our video featuring prominent leaders condemning violence against women and children aired on Vanuatu television. The advert was so successful it was extended to air for another month, and the approach has been used as a case study and featured in a webinar by Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Australian Council for International Development as an example of an effective approach to tackle gendered violence. This is an activity of the ‘Partnering Women for Change’ (PW4C) program. PW4C is supported by the Australian Government through the ‘Pacific Women Shaping Pacific Development’ initiative.

Let’s End Poverty Together

In 2018 we filmed in well-known holiday destination Bali. Many are not aware that just off the tourist trail you’ll find communities living in the grip of poverty. Local governments receive limited funding to assist the poor with housing, electricity, water and other basic services; and the voices of the poorest, especially women, are often not heard. In 2019 this video created for UnitingWorld’s End of Financial Year Appeal 2018 (Bali) Campaign was awarded a Fundraising Institute of Australia Award for Excellence in Fundraising: Donor Renewal – Under $5 Million.

Clean Water Save Lives

In early 2019 we filmed the story of fifteen year-old Rani. She is one of Papua New Guinea’s 4.8 million people at risk of death from dirty water. Several times each day she walks twenty minutes over the hill to a well on the other side of her community to fill her jerry can with water. Weighing about 18kilos when full, Rani uses a cloth attached to her forehead to help bear the weight on the journey home. Because her easiest choice is often an unsafe water source, Rani and her family are at risk of becoming some of the sixty people around the world who die because of dirty water every minute of every day.

Disaster Ready | Saving Lives

In early 2019 we created a video for UnitingWorld about disaster preparedness. Every dollar donated before a disaster strikes doesn’t just save countless lives – it saves significant amounts of money. Every $1 invested into disaster preparation can save as much as $15 in the aftermath of a tragedy (Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, 2018).
